For the Staedtler’s Classpack Challenge, primary pupils are invited to design a “classpack” cover (classpacks contain bumper supplies of popular pens and pencils). Prizes include a computer and printer for winners’ classrooms. The current design features smiling self-portraits submitted to launch the competition by Class 9 pupils at Cwm Glas Primary School, Swansea. Entry details can be found on classpacks which are available from stationers or the number below. The competition will be judged every 18 months.

Young artists aged up to 18 are invited to enter work by March 12 for the Artworks Young Artists of the Year Awards. Categories are: working with artists, working with galleries, and working with other sources. An awards ceremony will take place at the Tate Modern on July 1 and the winning works will be displayed in the gallery during July and on the Artworks website.
