Secondary schools are invited to build a model of the ‘99’ ice cream, with the finished project ‘encompassing any achievement whether local, national or global of the past 99 years’.

Models will be displayed at Dip ‘99 (see Events), but schools do not have to attend the show to enter. Run by Cadbury’s, the competition can be used as part of the graphic design and modelling syllabus. Rhino and Falcon from the popular ‘Gladiators’ television series are to judge The Gladiators Schools Health Eating Challenge, which gives teams of students aged 11 to 14 the chance to win up to pound;500 by examining the Gladiators’

pre-event diets and devising a range of healthy convenience meals under a fictitious ‘Gladiators’ brand. Finalists also get to meet the Gladiators.
