Training provider Stands for Education is running a course for history teachers and heads of history on "How to improve student performance in history at GCSE:important guidance for key problem areas" in London (June 25 and July 12) and Leeds (July 5). In addition a course for heads of history will be held in London, July 2, called "Continuing to raise standards in key stage 3 and 4 history". The Historical Association is taking members to Medieval Flanders, July 12-16. The conference will be based in Leuven, and will include also linked city visits and lectures on Antwerp, Ghent and Brussels. Fee: pound;395pound;490.
