* What are the genetics behind the Scottish look of red hair and freckles? Find out at the “Life’s What You Make It” show for secondary pupils featured in the 2004 Scottish Schools Touring Programme run by the Edinburgh International Science Festival. A team of actors and science communicators is visiting schools until June 11 to inspire more than 60,000 pupils aged five to 14 with a passion for science through shows such as Dr Bunhead’s Exploding Kitchen Show.
