‘Connexions’ careers service launch

A REVAMPED careers service for young people aged 13 to 19 was unveiled by the Government this week.

Sixteen areas will pioneer the new “Connexions” schemes from April, which will also offer advice on roblems such as drugs and homelessness. Connexions will replace the existing careers and youth services over the next two to three years and will receive pound;420 million funding by the end of 2003.
