To run Photoshop successfully, you need a fast computer; the new Macintosh Performa 5200CD is an excellent choice or alternatively a 486 Windows PC. The more memory you have the better, 8 megabytes is a minimum. If you have a Macintosh then Ram Doubler, which literally doubles your machine’s memory, is highly recommended and cheaper than buying real memory chips.

Photoshop 3.0 is available from most reputable software dealers at an average commercial price of Pounds 515. Education establishments can buy 10-packs for the price of a single commercial program, or one, single version for half the commercial price.Photoshop is written for for Apple Macintosh and IBM and compatible (RM) computers, so it should work with Acorn’s RiscPC fitted with a PC card - check with Acorn, Acorn House, Vision Park, Histon, Cambridge CB4 4AE.
