Contributing towards the ethos and culture of the school

Many of these activities bring this extra benefit. By bringing members of the community inside the school gates, children and staff find a new openness in the atmosphere of the school. Both become more used to visitors. Staff enjoy the contact with other adults; children enjoy undertaking activities and tasks for new audiences. Many schools report improvements in playground ehaviour, social skills and general motivation of pupils. Some businesses aim their involvement with schools to produce these benefits. 'Challenges' for employees, where they come into school and transform the environment, i.e. building a quiet area or a sensory garden , often in partnership with pupils and school staff, motivating and enthusing everyone involved.
