A new study in the British Medical Journal (BMJ) has highlighted the positive impact of wearing a mask on the risks of transmission in different settings.

The authors - including Trisha Greenhalgh, a professor of primary health care science at the University of Oxford who has spoken to Tes in the past about the efficacy of masks in a classroom setting - have produced a clear table demonstrating how the risk of transmission in different settings reduces if a mask is worn.
