A MEMBER of staff at The Ridings School in Halifax, West Yorkshire, has been suspended after allegations about the use of corporal punishment.

A male youth worker was removed from his duties in February and Calderdale local education authority has begun an investigation into the case. Corporal punishment is banned in all schools.
