The word “rates” was missing in the second paragraph of the letter from the Learning and Skills Council (FE Focus, May 6 ) which should have read: “we will be increasing FE Funding rates by 5 per cent”.
The council says: “This means we are increasing the unit price per course by 5 per cent, not the overall FE budget by 5 per cent.”
