Last week, The TES reported that the Centre for Young Musicians is to close next month. In fact, it is not the Centre itself that will close but, temporarily, a part of the CYM library now managed by Trinity College of Music.

The library has outgrown its present space and a part of its collection will be held in temporary storage until new premises are found.

The library is now distinct from the Centre for Young Musicians, which has never been part of Trinity College. It operates out of Morley College in central London, is a Centre of Advanced Training as part of the DCSF Music and Dance Scheme and is not under threat of closure. We regret the confusion caused by this error.
