RNIB CLASSROOM ASSISTANTS CERTIFICATE

This new Royal National Institute for the Blind certificate course - a mixture of direct training and open learning - aims to increase classroom assistants’ knowledge of visual impairment and its implications in mainstream schools and to develop the practical skills in technology and modifying learning materials needed to support visually impaired children. It is running in Cardiff, Edinburgh, London, Leeds and Worcester. Fee: Pounds 500 or Pounds 100 per module. Bursaries available. Details: Nicola Crews, 01203 366133.
