SCIENCE MUSEUM INSETS

Practical ideas for classroom activities and the potential of the Museum’s collection to support science, technology and history will be highlighted. Sessions include: Britain since 1930, April 30 (key stage 2); materials, June 13 (KS1-2), June 26 (KS3-4), June 27 (GNVQ); and biochemistry and disease, July 8 (GNVQA-level). TEACHER AND PUPIL TRAINING DAYS

School Councils UK is offering an expanded and improved introduction to classroom and school councils for teachers, May 8, London (secondary); May 20, Scotland (primary); November 4, London (primary); November 18, Manchester (secondary); and November 19, Manchester (primary). For pupils there is specialised training for developing committee-related skills, including decision management and facilitating classroom discussions, on October 6, London (secondary) and October 13, London (primary).
