The Historical Association has organised a city weekend in Valletta, Malta, February 17-20. Cost: pound;450. It also organises overseas tours accompanied by knowledgeable guides. Stands for Education is running a course for KS3 teachers in Nottingham, November 18, and London, November 19, exploring how to make history assessment effective, manageable and meaningful for teachers and pupils.
