Scottish Cricket, in partnership with SportScotland, is looking to appoint a development officer for the east of Scotland area.

A major part of the successful candidate’s remit will be to support and further develop clubs, schools and the regional development squad. In addition, the officer will have to provide and co-ordinate education opportunities for teachers and volunteer coaches.

One idea could be to ask a professional to share his expertise.

Rahul Dravid, the Indian professional who played for the Scottish Saltires in the summer, conducted a series of masterclasses for schoolchildren throughout the country, Accompanied by Scottish Cricket’s development manager Peter Drinnen, Mr Dravid passed on tips to under-12 players upwards. He held clinics in Glasgow, Fochabers, Arbroath, Galashiels, Falkland and Edinburgh.
