Cricket Scotland has rewarded two Scottish clubs for their work with schools players. St Modan’s Cricket Club and Stenhousemuir CC have been given TopClub certificates for their dedication to youth development: both clubs have three junior teams this season after heavy winter recruiting.

The governing body is currently running a UKCC level 2 coaching award course at Clydesdale CC in Glasgow, which is aimed primarily at overseas professionals seeking to gain qualifications in Britain. A mandatory part of the course covers good practice in child protection and emergency first aid.
