Arbroath lays claim to having some of the best young cricketers in the country. After Arbroath High, Angus, won the Tayside Secondary Schools Cricket Championship in March, Arbroath Cricket Club also boasted the top Under-11 side in the country. The team retained the BP Under-11 Kwik Cricket Summer Cup by beating Forfarshire in Stirling.
