This new reference work to be used alongside its companion volume, Vocabulary for GCSE Spanish by Geoff Taylor, offers sound advice to students.

The chapters are short and deal systematically and clearly with individual aspects of grammar ranging from the definite and indefinite articles to the subjunctive. Those on ser and estar and por and para - bugbears of all Spanish students - are clear with good examples. Each chapter contains some practice exercises and a summary and there are keys to the exercises and verb tables at the back of the book.

This is an unpretentious and appropriate reference book for its intended readership.
