Students who created fake wounds and bruises at a workshop in London were not only enjoying the drama - the special effects were part of an exploration into the skin’s healing process. The event, organised by the National Academy of Gifted and Talented Youth (NAGTY), based in Warwick University, was one of several sessions during a Saturday event looking at the “rude science” of the human body. Pictured is 13-year-old Fatima Junaid, who goes to Camphill School, Birmingham, adding the finishing touches to some “injuries” on Adam Kuhivchak, aged 11, who attends Moat Community School, Leicester.
NAGTY has programme of events planned for about 6,000 children throughout this year.
