The Scottish Executive has announced an 80 per cent discount on the cost of part-time courses in computer literacy and information technology. Henry McLeish, Enterprise and Lifelong Learning Minister, described the move as “an investment n being serious about the knowledge economy”. Mr McLeish also unveiled a pound;4 million Scottish Institute for Enterprise to be based at Glasgow University but taking in Edinburgh, Dundee, Heriot-Watt and Strathclyde universities.
