PICK OF THE MONTH: CANDOCO, UK dance tour starts in Aberdeen on October 18

Atmospheric new works In Praise of Folly and The Journey are being premiered in England and Scotland by CandoCo, the internationally renowned dance company of disabled and non-disabled dancers. Renaissance art inspires the intimate imagery, haunting movements and disquieting music pervading In Praise of Folly, choreographed by Athina Vahla. The Journey, choreographed by Fin Walker of Walker Dance Park Music, takes the audience on a fast and furious pilgrimage through emotions.

See the double bill in Aberdeen, October 18; Leicester, November 24; Poole, February 15-16; Queen Elizabeth Hall, London, May 5-6.

Dance enthusiasts in south London interested in integrated performance, could try Laban’s Dance Ability classes, which include movement, play and creativity with live music.
