Scotland’s principal contemporary dance company, Scottish Dance Theatre, has appointed an education officer. Rachel Smith, one of the first graduates of the Scottish School of Contemporary Dance, will address lifelong learning, dance and disability and professional skills development, among other issues. She is expected to work with Space, the new dance centre at Dundee College.
The company’s current work includes tasters in Dundee schools, summer schools prior to the Dundee Festival of Dance and workshops to accompany its autumn UK tour.
