The new Helpsheets are now available from the Design and Technology Association and take into account the new Orders for design and technology. They should be used in conjunction with the Department for Education and EmploymentStandards and Effectiveness UnitQualifications and Curriculum Authority exemplar scheme of work and the National Curriculum Order for Design and Technology.
Each unit is full of sketches showing processes and techniques, notes from teacher to teacher, homework activities and a glossary.
There are also pro formas to review each unit, which teachers may find helpful to use with children. The Helpsheets relate to each of the 24 units of work and many of these units are based on the DATA Guidance Materials for key stages 1 and 2 published in 1995.
