National Parks Week

25-30 July

This year's National Parks Week aims to provide fun for all ages and abilities. There are a wide range of activities on offer around the country, and many are free. Children can travel back in time to experience life in an Iron Age hut (Pembrokeshire); go for a healthy walk and learn about myths and legends (Dartmoor); have a go at archery (Lake District, North Yorkshire moors); go deer-watching (Exmoor); go to a family fun day at a wheelchair-friendly National Park Centre (Peak District, Lake District); go canoeing (Lake District); brush up your map and compass skills (Peak District); or help plant trees (Cairngorms). www.tes.co.ukparks-week.
