* A teacher had his jail sentence for football hooliganism cut at the Court of Appeal this week.
David Walker, 38, head of the history department and Year 11 and a member of senior management at an all-boys school, had his two-year-and-three-month term reduced to two years. During his trial in May this year, the court heard he organised violence from his home computer in Stafford.
