Days of Empire

Imperialism is part of the brief of the new Empire Exhibition created by The National Archives' Learning Curve website. It aims to provide KS34 history pupils and their teachers with copies of original source material on "an empire which covered more than a quarter of the globe, affected the lives of hundreds of millions and lasted more than 400 years". There is plenty of historical evidence, and downloadable documents include: a British memo on Ghandi's actions; extracts from Captain Cook's log book; and film of Dublin after the Easter Rising.
