Ages 11 to 16

Getting pupils moving around the classroom will take the routine out of revising key terms. Create “dominoes” with a key term at one end, and on the other, an explanation of a different key term. Pupils must match each term with its correct explanation, creating a line of dominoes.

Play against time: print four or five sets of dominoes, and get small groups to compete to assemble them into the correct order before the other teams do. When the first team finishes, it can ring a bell. Then check the order (or, get the pupils to call theirs out). If the order is wrong, the game continues.
