Deafblind people in need of a chat or advice can call a free 24-hour helpline (0800 132320) set up by the Deafblind UK charity. Available to an estimated 23,000 deafblind people in the UK, as well as professional staff and carers, it will help (in confidence) with any problems - from how to find a plumber to what to do after a break-in. Details: Deafblind UK Helpline, 100 Bridge Street, Peterborough PE1 1DY.
