Decked out in tiaras and armour

Children's activities and workshops at various venues, Glasgow museums and art galleries, all summer The McLellan Galleries in Sauchiehall Street is offering free activities for three to 12-year-olds during July and August, from 11am-1pm, include storytelling, painting, clay workshops, learning about Victorian objects and costume, and making crowns, tiaras and body armour. The Museum of Transport is hosting a wide range of free events for children aged five to 12 in July and August. These include a drop-in Saturday art club for deaf children on July 23 and August 27 from 2-3.30pm.

Cinema-related Saturday morning workshops will also run there on July 23 and August 27 and will include creating shadow puppets, drama and scriptwriting plus a short film show in the Museum's Kelvin cinema. Booking is essential, tel: 0141 287 2651.
