Dedication to work laid bare

Good to see that those in charge of our education system will stop at nothing to improve their performance in the job - a fact which has led to some interesting work-shadowing placements.

While the rest of you are dossing around at work, Joe Greenway, assistant principal at Huntingdon Regional College, will be seeing what goes on at the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds.

Christine Ivey, managing director of the Academy of Training, in Plymouth, will be at the Eden Project in Cornwall.

But the FErret medal for dedication beyond the call of duty goes to Angela Coward, head of centre at Yeovil College, who will visit Studland Bay - the National Trust's nudist beach in Dorset. Hope the sun comes out for you, Angela.
