Deputies ditched

More than 200 deputy head posts in Wales have been axed since 1999, fuelling concerns about a headteacher shortage, according to Andrew Davies, Assembly member and Conservative shadow education minister. He raised his concerns in a written question to the National Assembly after conducting his own research.
