Almost a third of teachers say the bad design of their schools prevents them from teaching effectively. While 87 per cent said they believed that classroom layout was the most important aspect of the school environment, only 59 per cent could make the changes they needed to help deliver the curriculum, according to research. An online survey of more than 500 teachers carried out by the Teacher Support Network and the British Council for School Environments marks the start of National School Environments Week.
