The Department for Education is considering tearing up “unnecessary” health and safety rules to allow more learning to take place outside the classroom. Responding to recommendations in the previous schools select committee report, the DfE said: “We are ready to explore how to increase school freedom by reviewing the constraints flowing from unnecessary health and safety red tape.”
