Many of us are using digital cameras these days, but that doesn’t mean we don’t want to print out the occasional image. Canon is to launch two portable digital printers that can print images directly from a digital camera - there’s no need to use a PC. The CP-200 and CP-300 connect to a camera via a USB cable and a simple menu on the camera’s LCD screen lets you select print size, type and quantity. The printers can produce a postcard-sized print in less than 90 seconds and the CP-300 even has an optional battery pack, so can be used almost anywhere. The CP-200 will cost around pound;149, while the CP-300, which is launched in July, is expected to retail for around pound;219.
