A primary school secretary who stole at least pound;20,000 of children’s dinner money to pay off her debts was jailed for six months this week.

Zowie Smith, 28, previously admitted 10 charges of theft and 10 charges of false accounting at West Park primary, Porthcawl, when she appeared before Bridgend magistrates’ court, south Wales. The mother-of - two has declared herself bankrupt after being pound;50,000 in debt.
