Diploma rule lifted

Schools will no longer have to offer their pupils access to all 14 of the different Diplomas, ministers announced this week.

The end of the Diploma "entitlement" came as the Government said it would stop the development of the extended Diploma. It has already halted work on three "academic" versions of the qualification that were due to be introduced next year.
