A BOOST to disabled children’s rights to education was announced in this week’s Queen’s Speech.
The long-promised Bill will mean schools must make “reasonable adjustments” to their premises, policies and curriculum to ensure disabled young people are not discriminated against.
It is also likely to require education authorities to set up support schemes for parents of children with special needs.
But the Government also signalled it would be abandoning its plans to scrap Section 28 which prohibits local authorities from promoting homosexuality.
