When Childnet, supported by Cable amp; Wireless, transformed its international website safety awards into the Childnet Academy, it shifted the focus to encouraging the development of innovative websites. With development funds of pound;30,000 it could help create significant work, and while it is too late to take part in the current scheme, it is worth visiting the site to see what Childnet has to offer - information about the awards and the work of previous winners (including the excellent Kidsdom animation website created by 17-year-old Andrew Fei in Australia), support and advice on building websites and a forum dedicated to website creation and safety.
