Doctors rely on charity too

IT is naive to report claims that doctors do not need supermarket vouchers to buy equipment (TES, April 6).

Most incubators for newborn babies, cancer-treating equipment and research funding come from charitable sources. Several of us were at a fundraising event at Old Traford for the Mike Walsh Cancer Fund which raised over pound;10,000 towards a bronchoscope. Events like this go on daily all over the country. My computer came from charitable sources.
