THE RETURN of the 180-pupil Dornoch Academy, the only self-governing secondary school, to local government has been approved by the Scottish Executive. Andy Anderson, chairman of Highland’s education committee, looked forward “to a period of stability and progress” for the school, which when outwith the council’s control achieved its goal of S1-S6 provision.
