Children can prod, sniff, shake and discover more about farming, industry and traditional animals in Scotland when the Almond Valley Heritage Centre, near Livingston, West Lothian, doubles in size later this year. By early summer, a bridge across the River Almond that leads to land owned by the centre will be opened. The bridge means children will be able to visit Almond Valley’s orchard, watch crop-cultivation demonstrations and take part in an archaeological dig.
