Drama - It's the goodies

An interactive exhibition celebrating pantomime in Scotland will be touring theatres in Motherwell, Glasgow and Stirling this winter.

Drawing on a research project at Glasgow University, the exhibition spans pantomime's Victorian origins to the present day. It includes the collections of performers, producers and audiences, as well as rarely-seen archive film from as far back as the 1930s and contributions from stars such as Stanley Baxter (above).

Visitors will be asked to contribute their memories in an attempt to document the many community pantomimes that take place throughout Scotland. Mr Baxter, who describes pantomime as "the national theatre of Scotland", has given his support to the exhibition.
