Dubai firm aims to start school chain

A Dubai-based company which hopes to set up the largest chain of private schools in the United Kingdom has hired David Hanson, director of education of the Incorporated Association of Preparatory Schools, to be its first chief executive for Europe and North America. Mr Hanson will take up the position with Global Education Management Systems in January 2004. The company owns two independent schools in the UK at present, and 30 schools in the Middle East.
