One of the biggest ICT events next year will be the E3M conference on July 13 to 16 at the Cheltenham and Gloucester College of Higher Education. Aimed at teachers, lecturers and researchers interested in using IT in learning, there will be lectures and workshops on topics including classroom practice, design and use of ICT-based learning resources and community and lifelong learning. It is being organised by the UK’s key ICT in education associations and is sponsored by RM, Compaq, Oracle and Telewest. Speakers will include Professor Tim Brighouse, CEO of Birmingham LEA, Dr Sadie Plant of Warwick University’s Cybernetic Culture Research Unit and Gabriel Goldstein HMI. There will also be a major exhibition of IT suppliers.
