SCHOOL improvement services in East Sussex are to be run with the not-for-profit Centre for British Teachers, in a pound;1.3 million-a-year deal marking one of the first voluntary partnerships between a council and external provider. The service will support schools in raising standards and improving leadership and performance management. It will be led by John Stannard, formely director of the National Literacy Strategy, until a chief adviser is appointed next year.
