The largest book in the world, bricks from the Great Wall, a bronze chariot and a terracotta warrior will be displayed in “China - Cradle of Knowledge”, a new exhibition at Manchester’s Museum of Science and Industry until June 8. The exhibits, collected by the Museum of Science and Technology in Beijing, cover everything from astronomy to the development of gunpowder. Chinese craft workers will demonstrate silk weaving, paper making and calligraphy. For information, ring 0161 832 1830.
