Ardroy Outdoor Education Centre has become the first such centre in Scotland to receive an International Eco Centre Award. Situated on the shores of Loch Goil in Loch Lomond National Park, it has made environmental awareness an integral part of every course, from mountain biking and kayaking to archery and hill walking. Not only have the staff signed up to an “eco code” to promote sustainability, the centre teaches woodland skills to primary and secondary pupils and offers two green courses - the John Muir Award, and Earthkeepers.
