It’s the age-old problem: you and some colleagues have got a band together, you’re jamming every week and you’re beginning to sound pretty good. But what do you call yourselves?

Luckily, Twitter has teaching-based puns for every style of music under the hashtag #teacherbandnames.

Is your band a fan of early-1990s hip-hop? Why not go for @tes’ very own suggestion of LL School J - which of course stands for “Ladies Love School, James”.

Perhaps you lean towards a slightly rockier sound, in which case @rachelrossiter’s Rage Against the Photocopying Machine could be for you.

And boy bands not only had a choice name from @Samfr in Take SATs, but, as @RachelOrr pointed out, a perfect album name in Progress.

There was something for girl bands too, with @B2edu suggesting No Destiny’s Child Left Behind.

Meanwhile, indie rockers could do worse than @WatsEd’s suggestion of Florence and the Coffee Machine.

However, our favourite - aside from a former colleague’s suggestion of “The Pedagogues” - came from @whatonomy, who gave a name to teacher Teddy Boys everywhere. Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome to the stage, ShowDon’tTellWaddywaddy.
