Edinburgh tackling time spent on religious education

Edinburgh has insisted it is tackling a major weakness - the failure to meet minimum recommended time on religious and moral education in secondaries. In S1-S2, 12 out of 23 schools meet or exceed 80 minutes a week and the rest, with one exception, provide 75 per cent of suggested time. But only seven meet the 80 hours demanded over S3 and S4.
