WHO does Sue Palmer think she is? (TES, January 24). It is a preposterous suggestion that many teaching assistants are poorly educated. I was in the teaching profession for many years and none of the assistants I met then, ornow, struck me as poorly educated.
Far more important is their dedication to their work, which is a very positive factor in the assistance they give in the education of our children.
